Things I've Been Up To...

I feel as though I've been neglecting my blog. Behind the scenes stuff has been demanding my attention. I sat down to start writing but wasn't sure what to write about. Then it occurred to me to write about what I've been doing that's keeping me from actually writing. It's some pretty exciting stuff that I know you'll all benefit from. So, here it is!

Nurse Coaching

I've been plugging away at my training and am just a few weeks shy of completion! I have been meeting clients via phone, zoom, and in person as well. Clients come to me with a variety of goals. It seems many start out by saying "I've just lost my motivation." Together, we identify their vision of whole wellness and then create an action plan to see them begin living that vision! I could never describe how exciting it is to bare witness to the many "light bulb" moments I've seen.

You see, as a Nurse Coach, I empower people to define and live their personal WHOLEness potential so that we collectively begin the shift from a provider driven "sick" care to a holistic, individual-driven, wellness model. Because we are all unique, this can look different with each client. For example, I recently worked with a single mother of three who had been living in survival mode since she was a child. She had basically been on her own her whole life and had little to no support systems. She was tired of being strong and struggling to find time to find HERSELF. Now, she’s journaling every morning, practicing affirmations, changing the way she talks and thinks about herself, and actively walking away from toxic situations and people! She feels inspired and empowered to make a better life for herself and her children. She even left an unfulfilling, malicious job and is in the creative process of starting her own business!

Wow right?!?! Pretty powerful stuff. The most beautiful part is all of the inspiration and healing and love comes from within the person! I have the unique gift of walking beside these powerful souls as they create and step into their true power. Hot damn I love this job!

Surgical Concierge Plans

It's no secret that I've been in the surgical game for a long time now. I have a colorful and vast professional surgical background and my loved ones have benefitted from this any time they undergo a procedure. Recently, a friend's mother had surgery and I did the thing I always do - decipher the things and make them make better sense. They were so grateful. For me, it was just sharing my knowledge and I thought nothing of it. For them, it was a peace of mind that I didn't even know I was capable of providing.

See, surgeon's are BUSY. Don't get me wrong...there is zero disrespect in that statement. I've made a living assisting surgeons and I know their hearts are fully in what they do. They are dedicated and devoted doctors who care deeply about their patients. I also know that the way they show that care is by operating. This means they have limited time to spend with patients in the office spelling things out. They create all sorts of documents giving instructions and descriptions for you to review with all the best intentions. Then you get home and suddenly nothing makes sense.

The way I see it, some people just need some one to make sense of all this medical documentation and put it in plain English for them. Others need a little more hand holding and support through the surgical process. Here's where I'd like to help. I'm in the process of developing various surgical concierge plans. I want to provide the same peace of mind for you and your loved ones that I do for mine.

The Wellness Center

Ok, here's the biggest news! Last Thursday, I hosted a luncheon for the most beautiful group of souls to ever gather in one sitting. Together, we discussed our plans to open a Wellness Center in the very near future!

When I tell you I'm still reeling in amazement from the awesome energy cultivated in that one meeting, I'm not joking. Eight practitioners from eight different backgrounds and eight different specialties all with ONE common goal: Creating wholeness through wellness!

We are currently looking for a physical space to house this beautiful collective. It will be serene, inspiring, enlightening, and peaceful. I'm excited to share more with you as this process unfolds. Stay tuned!!
